Regular Exercise Can Significantly Lower Your Blood Pressure


Exercise plays an important role in maintaining your overall health and maintaining a healthy blood pressure .For people under treatment who are taking medications for lowering their blood pressure, doing moderate exercise on a regular basis improves the effectiveness of the medicines they take.

High blood pressure or hypertension is one of the major diseases labelled under lifestyle diseases.This is because today’s changed lifestyle and eating habits contribute to a condition of easily being victims of several diseases including hypertension. A large number of people are suffering from it globally. Studies show that regular physical activity can  significantly reduce the risk of hypertension.

You don’t need to be a member of a gym or a health club to be benefited from your exercise regimen. Just find the activity you love or enjoy and make it a habit of doing it regularly for at least 30 minutes a day on most days of the week. It can be walking, swimming, gardening, hiking, yoga or anything you love to do which involves some physical activity

.Brisk walking and aerobic exercises like swimming are especially good for maintaining a healthy blood pressure.These may be enough to keep off medications or help them work better.

Doing regular activities also helps to maintain a healthy body weight and prevent many of the lifestyle diseases including hypertension.

Those who are not exercising, start your work out slowly and start with 10 to 15 minutes a day.Then gradually increase the intensity and duration.This can help to lower your blood pressure and become more fitter. Doing it regularly helps to maintain the lowered blood pressure as well.

Make it a commitment to doing at least 30 minutes of exercise a part of your daily routine. Find a time that works for you best and enjoy it.
